The Frugalista Files by Natalie P. McNeal

Natalie, a journalist for the Miami Herald, is a normal single working girl who just wants to live a fabulous life. But that fabulous life has gotten her into some serious debt, and now, Natalie needs to get her bills straight. But, she also doesn't want to give up her fabulous life. What's a girl to do?

She starts out by going on a spending freeze, and spends a whole month not spending any money except for the necessities. She starts bringing her lunch to work and cooking at home instead of eating out, doing her own nails, and finds all sorts of fun, free stuff to do. Over the next year, she continues with her new spending habits, and slowly but surely pays down her debts. Along the way, her blog "The Frugalista Files" catches on, and Natalie discovers a new path to revitalise her career.

In her funny, accessible voice, Natalie keeps it real while she figures out that you don't have to go into debt to live a truly fabulous life.
