Hotshot by Julie Garwood

Peyton Lockhart has had a rough year. She moved from Texas to Minnesota for a job but quickly realized that her boss was a jerk. A sexual harassing jerk. When she confronts him and gets proof, he threatens her. That is all she needs and gets out of town. Back in Texas, working in a restaurant, Peyton's Uncle Len makes her and her sisters an offer: to take over his resort, Bishop's Cove in Florida. If they can make a profit it is theirs to keep.

Finn MacBain hasn't seen Peyton Lockhart in years. He can't believe how she grew up and he is interested. When they reconnect at a wedding, sparks fly. But Finn is busy with his FBI career and gun shy with relationships, so after one night Peyton doesn't hear from him again. But when her life is threatened,  Finn can't stay away.

Now in Florida, one disaster after another happens while they try to renovate the resort. It soon becomes apparent that there are two different enemies out there. One is closer to home and the other won't let their life be ruined. And Finn soon realizes he won't let anything happen to Peyton.

Another great one be Julie Garwood. Lots of suspense and a great story. This is book number 11 in the Buchanan-Renard series.
