Long Gone by Alafair Burke

Alice Humphrey has just been offered her dream job. She meets Drew Campbell at an art gallery show and he asks her to be the manager of a new gallery in the Meatpacking District. Alice has been unemployed for a while now and refuses to let her famous father support, so she jumps at the opportunity.

Alice is informed that the owner doesn't want to be known and that Drew will be the go between. The other catch is they have to exhibit the owner's lover's work. The photography isn't what Alice would call good but a job is a job and she will make the opening work.

The day after the opening, Alice is supposed to meet Drew at the gallery. When she arrives the windows have been papered up and the electricity is off. Using her phone light, Alice stumbles across Drew's bloody, dead body. As the investigation gets underway all the evidence is pointing to Alice as the killer. She knows she isn't and sets out to prove her innocence and found out who is framing her.

Oh my goodness! I love finding new authors! This was such a great story and the conclusion had me gasping. I enjoyed trying to figure out what was going on and how Alice was going to clear her name. I will  definitely be reading the rest of Alafair Burke's books!
