The Cinderella Murder by Mary Higgins Clark and Alafair Burke

Susan Dempsey was in college when she was murdered. Now twenty years later, she has become the focus of the new TV show, Under Suspicion. Laurie Moran created this show and the pilot episode was a huge success. It has been a year since the first and only episode and Laurie really wants to tell Susan's story. Now finally getting the cooperation of Susan's mom, roommates, boyfriend and a famous director, filming has been green-lighted.

Laurie and the crew travel to California. Along for the ride is Laurie's son, Timmy, and her dad, retired cop Leo. Leo wanted to come to keep an eye on things.  A woman indirectly connected to the project was murder and Leo is suspicion. As they start the interviewing, it soon becomes clear that this case might be harder to solve then they thought. Everyone is a suspect and then one of the producers is attacked. Will they make it through this episode and catch a killer or will this be the end of the show?

This is the start of a new series by Mary Higgins Clark and Alafair Burke. We first met the characters in Mary Higgins Clark's I've Got You Under My Skin. This was a good start and a good mystery. Can't wait for the next one!
