The Green Rider by Kristen Britain

Karigan G'ladheon life changes the day she bested a wealthy aristocrat classmate. Knowing that she would be expelled for such an action, Karigan decides to run away, an action that put her on a new path.

On her way home she finds a Green Rider, one of the legendary messengers of the king with two black arrows protruding from his back. As he lay dying, the rider makes Karigan promise to fulfill his mission of getting the letter he holds to the king.

But everything is not it seems on her journey. Karigan will face forces that she had never dreamed existed and some she had thought to be a myth. She does not travel on this journey alone, as she has her traveling companion, a horse called horse, and The Green Rider F'ryan Coblebay, the green rider who died. The ever-present arrows protruding from his back are a reminder of what is at stake. She meets many different people on her journey, some friends and some foes.

I don’t want go into too much detail as I do not want to spoil anything. This is the first book in the Green Rider series by Kristen Britain. The author is detailed in making the world that Karigan lives in. I would recommend reading the rest of the Green Rider book series.
