Wild on the Rocks by Kiersten Hallie Krum

Bartender and mixologist Quinn Forrester nearly escapes death when she witnesses a murder conducted by a Russian mobster in Atlantic City. She is now on the lamb and makes it to Florida where decides to hide out at a resort on Barefoot Bay.

There happens to be a high profile wedding scheduled and their bartender bailed. Fortunately, Quinn needs the cash and this job might be just the ticket until she can figure out her next move.

As fate would have it, her ex-husband and Navy SEAL Jasper McQueen is also at the resort to provide security detail while he is on enforced leave. They haven’t seen each other in over a year when Quinn walked out on their marriage, even though she never stopped loving him. Jasper isn’t about to let the women who wrecked him out of his sights again, but with the Russian mob on her tail, her leaving this time might not be her choice.

Super sensual and suspenseful, Krum (Castle Haven series) has a lot to offer readers here in this series set in the fictional island that is the brainchild of romance author Roxanne St. Claire. Besides hot sex between two characters with plenty of chemistry,  there is deeper story here with heavier moments that touch on PTSD and suicide that adds more bite than your typical romantic suspense fare.
